About this product
Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Oil is a water-based Linseed Oil formula that colours and waterproofs decking in one step, giving a lightly tinted, natural-looking finish. It penetrates deeper into the wood than standard decking oils, offering double the weather resistance and foot traffic protection, and is primarily intended for pre-treated decking. This 5 litre tin in Natural is suited to larger deck areas. The finish is rainproof within 90 minutes and can be recoated after 4 hours. Preparation depends on the deck's condition: untreated or weathered wood should be restored first, previously finished decking cleaned and stripped of loose or flaking coatings, and new decking left to weather before cleaning. The shade shown is approximate, as final colour depends on the wood's texture, grain and porosity, so a test patch is recommended.
