About this product
Ronseal Ultimate Protection Decking Oil in Natural Oak is a 5 litre water-based Linseed Oil formula that colours and waterproofs decking in one step, giving a natural, lightly tinted golden finish. It penetrates deeper into the wood than standard decking oils, offering double the weather and foot traffic resistance for a longer-lasting result. It is rainproof within 90 minutes and can be recoated after 4 hours. Mainly intended for pre-treated decking. Untreated or weathered wood should first be treated with Ronseal Decking Restorer, while previously finished decking should be cleaned with Ronseal Decking Cleaner and Reviver, removing any loose or flaking coatings. New decking should be left to weather for around six months before application. As with all wood stains, testing a small area first is recommended, since the final colour can vary with the type, grain and porosity of the wood.
