About this product
The Makita DBO480 is a 1/4 sheet cordless finishing sander powered by Makita 18v LXT batteries, sold here as a bare tool with no battery, charger or case. It suits smaller sanding tasks for carpenters, fitters, joiners and DIY enthusiasts.
It has two speed settings, a tool-free paper clamp and a redesigned balancer to reduce vibration during use, along with an ergonomic grip for comfortable handling. Dust is controlled via a rear-mounted dust bag or by connecting a dust extractor to the dust port.
The pad measures 112 x 102mm and takes 114 x 102mm abrasive paper, fastened by hook and loop or clamp. It runs at 28,000/22,000 strokes per minute and 14,000/11,000 orbits per minute, and weighs 1.4kg. It comes supplied with a triangle plate for sanding in tight spaces, a dust bag, abrasive paper set, dust bag nozzle, dust nozzle and punch plate.
