About this product
The Dormer E500 is a coarse metric HSS tap with a straight flute design, suitable for general-purpose threading in steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals. It can be used by hand or in a machine, and is designed for cutting through or blind holes. For blind holes, straight flute taps are normally used as part of a set comprising taper (first), second and bottoming (plug) taps.
This is the Second tap in a set, sized M3.5 with a 0.6mm pitch, right-hand coarse thread to ISO 529 with 6H tolerance. Overall length is 50mm, and the surface finish is bright.
