About this product
The Dormer E500 is an HSS straight-flute tap for cutting metric coarse threads, suitable for use by hand or in a machine. It works across a range of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals, and is designed to tap through or blind holes.
This is the bottoming (plug) tap, used as the third tap in a set alongside taper and second taps when working blind holes. It is sized M3 with a 0.5mm pitch, bright finish, and made to ISO 529 with a 6H tolerance.
