About this product
The Dormer E500 is a metric coarse taper tap made from high-speed steel, sized M5 with a 0.8mm pitch. It is designed for general-purpose threading of steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals, giving durable, wear-resistant performance.
Its straight flute design allows effective chip removal for smooth, accurate threads and can be used by hand or in a machine, tapping through or blind holes. For blind holes, it is intended for use as part of a set alongside second and bottoming taps.
It is manufactured to ISO 529 with a 6H tolerance and has an overall length of 58mm.
