About this product
The Dormer E500 is a straight flute HSS tap for cutting M6 coarse metric threads (1mm pitch), suitable for use by hand or in a machine. It works across a range of materials including steel, stainless steel, cast iron and non-ferrous metals, with the straight flutes aiding chip removal for accurate, smooth threading.
This is a bottoming (third/plug) tap, intended for use as part of a set with taper and second taps when tapping blind holes. It is manufactured to ISO 529 with a 6H tolerance and a bright surface finish.
